Goodbye Slime in 2009, and Hello Jammin' in 2010.

***This following blog was actually written on Facebook on New Year's Eve at 10:05 P.M. (GMT +8)***

Start: 10:05 PM

Well, what a year that was in 2009 probably in the world and in my own experience. There are many things occurred in this year that focused every humankind's attention. Yes, I will summarize them all to you what exactly happened in the year 2009.

First off, we kicked 2009 with a bang by Barack Obama's inaugural speech to be the first Black American President of the United States and to be the 44th President. It is truly part of the history and it was a glorious moment last January 20.

Also, who will forget the H1N1 Epidemic that hit last April in Mexico and after two months, it killed 6, 500 people all over the world including minimum of 50 people killed here in the country.

Also, in this year, we have seen the greatest loss, not only in the music industry, but in the world of humanity. Michael Jackson passed away on June 25 due to cardiac arrest in his house at Los Angeles, CA. The person who truly missed by 6 Billion people around the world. This widespread of love again occurred and the last time this happened was when Elvis Presley died.

On this year alone, more than 60 personalities died this year, including former President Cory Aquino, Sen. Ted Kennedy, Billy Mays, Farrah Fawcett, Alexis Arguello, Vernon Forrest, Arturo Gatti, Johnny Delgado, Francis Magalona, and many, many more.

In this year is the year of prosperity for our businessmen wherein the Global Crisis was surpassed. U.S. Markets rose and as well as the worldwide markets. Oil prices go down and the world markets will regain more points in 2010.

Who will not forget Taylor Swift and Kanye West. Yes, Taylor was truly one of the best artist this year for granting every country listener's wish. To garner more awards in every single music award. Until the VMA's came by. Kanye interrupted Taylor and murmuring that Beyonce is way better than her. Sure pretty embarrassing around there.

In the world of sports, well, Barcelona seems to be the best soccer team so far for garnering 6 awards this year alone, especially the FIFA Gala Award. They got the UEFA Champions League trophy by beating my favorite team, Manchester United, La Liga title and numerous awards for Lionel Messi. It is also the year of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Big Trade occured. The Big 3 transferred to Real Madrid but they were having their problems especially injuries.

Manny Pacquiao had a great year as well. Starting off the year by beating Ricky Hatton devastatingly via 2nd Round KO and a scintillating finish over Miguel Cotto in 12 rounds. By beating Miguel Cotto, he broke boxing history by winning his seventh world title, in seven weight classes, and clinched to one of the All-Time Greats. He's now ready to face Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and it will be one of the big paydays and biggest showdown next year if it occurs but problems regarding Roger's and Floyd's doubts of Manny that he is using steroids. Pacquiao sued them together by defamation.

Kobe and the gang are back and the Lakers back in championship ways by winning the NBA Title for the 15th time, second best achievement after Boston Celtics winning their 17th last 2008. They beat Orlando Magic in six games. Kobe Bryant named the Finals MVP.

Who will forget every Filipino's shocking experience during Ketsana, and Parma's visit in the country. In myself, this will be one of the most traumatic experience in my entire life wherein I was stucked 14 hours inside the bus with no food, no water, no peeing. Ketsana alone had an equivalent of 1-month amount of rainfall, that's why it was easily flooded every street around the whole Luzon area. It was simply signal No. 1 and Parma was in Category No. 5 or Signal No. 4 here in our weather systems.

We ended the year by this Maguindanao Massacre that shocked worldwide media, where the accused Andal Ampatuan Jr. and the rest of Ampatuan clan killed 58 people last November 23, during his rival Toto Mangudadatu sign his certificate of candidacy to face Ampatuan in Maguinadanao for next year's election. 70% of the civilians killed were part of the world of journalism. Tears poured on every Filipino's faces, including and for bring disappointed that now we are known as the nation worst in Iraq and Iran for worldwide journalists. A sad day for all of us.

And that's my Year In Review for 2009 and hope that in 2010 we will give us more prosperity and more peace to each of us. As I write this blog, it's already 10:24 PM, just more than 1 and half hours away till 2010. Fireworks and foods are everywhere.

So,

- Happy New Year to all!

- Manigong Bagong Taon sa ating lahat!

- Hyvää uutta vuotta!

- Chúc mng năm mi!

- Feliz Año Nuevo!

- Buon Anno!

Yours truly,
