My favorite songs lately...

Time started: 5:18 p.m.
Where: In the study table.
Now Playing: "A Sky Full of Stars" by Coldplay.

---

It's been years since I blogged about my favorite songs, and I regularly updated it back 2011-12 and now it's nice to bring back the old days and share the stuff I've been listening to for the past week because I am just a music junkie myself, listening to alternative/indie records.

Well, I first heard of Tahiti 80 with their song, "Easy" on my favorite radio station, Jam 88.3, and now, I am now more obsessed with their new single, "Crush!". At first listen, I was so addicted to the tune for 2 whole weeks which is really rare for me. Normally, nagsasawa ako sa isang kanta ng 2-3 days then off to a new song but this is a one of a kind record if you ask me.

Next on the list is Foster the People's "A Beginner's Guide to Destroying the Moon". Well, I listened to the whole "Supermodel" album on Spotify and this is one of the tracks that stood out. I do like their first single in their second album, "Coming of Age" but this track is also a single-worthy track in my opinion. Very vibrant tune. plus the fact that it has great lyrics which I do like the most about Mark Foster the rest of Foster the People.

Next is Kasabian's "eez-eh". Though I am disappointed with lack of creativeness creating their latest record "48:13", there's still the catchy-witty feeling that Kasabian has and only "eez-eh" is the song that can define to their style of music.

Next is "Mind Over Matter" by Young the Giant. This record reminds me of listening to the old Incubus tracks I've heard with those emotional lyrics carrying along with the emotional vocals. It is somehow nostalgic and reminds me of "those" times. Literally, mind over matter.

Lastly, it's Coldplay's latest single "A Sky Full of Stars". At first, this track didn't grow on me because I was still adjusting on the "new" Coldplay, embracing the electronica world like what Radiohead and other pure alternative bands did in the previous years. I heard that Avicii helped in producing this recording which made me answer my speculations about this tune. The music world somehow evolve with country stars turned pop stars and indie pop acts turned mainstream. Now, I do appreciate their new record, not used to it at first because the real Coldplay grew on me.

Time ended: 5:40 p.m.

#worldcup fever!

As I write this blog, it's just 7 hours away 'till the start of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. I just simply can't wait for the #worldcup to start. Last World Cup in South Africa in 2010, few Filipinos are anticipating the most watched and the biggest sporting event in the world but this time, with football part of the sporting disciplines Filipinos are into today because of the Azkals putting football back in the Philippines in their historic semifinals finish in the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup, I expect more football fans to watch this momentous event. Plus, more people will be aware of the World Cup, with an estimated viewers of 2 billion all over the world, 10 times bigger than the SuperBowl and beating the Olympics. Football is really the sport of the world. A sport that is more than a sport, a religion. That's why I love football so much. The passion, the intensity, the atmosphere of the stadium, the drama, and the euphoria for goals, goals and more GOALS!

The only one trophy the world going nuts for, the FIFA World Cup trophy.

Before the tournament kicks off 9 hours from time (around 4:00 am, Manila time), I have predicted every bracket in the FIFA World Cup in the EA Sports Interactive Bracket and here's my prediction. I am torn between four teams, Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Spain but I made my decision that Germany might win their 4th World Cup title.

I predicted Germany to win their 4th World Cup title.

But I decided that because of their capability, line-up and experience but actually, I am rooting for both England and Japan. A little bit of Brazil because I root for them last World Cup so my heart still have Brazil in it plus the fact that they are the host this year and count those stars in their crest, five of them. They won five FIFA World Cups and they can possibly add a sixth star. I root for Japan because I love their style of play, short passing, tiki-taka. Under Zaccheroni-kantokun, they are one of the dark horses in the World Cup plus the fact that I know the players and how they play, I actually follow this national team like England and the fact that my Japanese influence is still there like watching anime and reading manga and listening to Japanese music. I support England because I am a huge fan of English football, following the Barclays Premier League for years and although that England's national team, The Three Lions, is a huge disappointment for years in every World Cup and EUROs, because of the pressure and expectations from their compatriots back home in England because of their star-studded line-up, I believe that they can still prove that they can be one of the best!

Well, I am just stoked and excited to watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup now and may the best team win! Enjoy life! Enjoy football! Enjoy 31 days of the FIFA World Cup! Ciao!

Here's some music from the Official World Cup album by Shakira. She's back with a new sports anthem!

Vacation in Covelandia

Time: 11:43 a.m.
Where: In the living room.
Now Playing: "Coastline" by Wunder Wunder.

---

After five years, we went back to Covelandia du Labrador, Hotel and Resort in Labrador, Pangasinan. We never forgot the first time we got there and now, this time, it's more memorable. We brought my uncle's family from my mother's side in the vacation. We did have much fun than before because my father wasn't there in the first time but he experienced the fun the second time around and indeed it was fun when you're complete. I even met my classmate/friend from college. We went to the Hundred Islands and it was really an adventure before finding an island to stay in. We cap off the vacation by experiencing the sea near Covelandia. It was really a fun experience.

My first footsteps in the historic Araneta Coliseum.

Time: 1:41 p.m.
Where: In the living room.
Now Playing: "Bring It On" by Hard-Fi.

---

I've been a passionate fan of basketball for a long time, whether college hoops (NCAA or UAAP) or professional ball like the PBA or NBA, because if you're here in the Philippines, it is natural to be a basketball lover even though I am busy following football in general. After all, it is the most beloved sport here, but with all of those times, I've never watch a game live, EVER. I was dreaming of going to Araneta Coliseum one day when I was little as if I wanna experience the passion inside with all of the fans around. On August 19, 2012, it is a Sunday, finally, I've got a chance to be in THE BIG DOME to watch my school (Adamson University) go against my mother's Alma Mater (University of Santo Tomas) in their first round encounter in the UAAP.

I was uncertain of going to the venue because it was understandable that it was my first time of going in there but still, I managed to get in because I won't waste this opportunity.

1:24 p.m., I finally made it and got on my seat. Realistically, I never thought that the Araneta Coliseum was small unlike what was shown when they host a game of PBA or even the UAAP but what the heck, I would be watching a great game.

Start of the game, Adamson got a slow start. Of course, we miss some key players from last year like Alvarez and the others, and Alex Nuyles got his injury that would sent him out of the season but the loss of key players is the not reason to give up on the game, it's all about stepping up the level of play. We finish the first quarter getting closer with Fortuna's company with UST.

Second quarter was a tight affair but Adamson led most of the time in that 'kanto' and even boost the squad's momentum when they bury a buzzer-beating shot to end the first half of the game.

Second half was underway and like they end the first half, Adamson going hard on the interior and Karim Abdul couldn't figure out the same play the Falcons were doing inolving Monteclaro and Brondial. Camson had a great third quarter.

Last quarter of the game, it seemed that the Growling Tigers were on a frenzy when they made a run to somehow match with Adamson's intensity. In the dying seconds of the game, Karim Adbul, the hero of the FEU match, again defying the odds to put the Espana outfit in front. 18 seconds to go and Camson was holding the ball, tries to go underneath and tried to buy a foul but the referee didn't call it. It was a little bit unfortunate and we were all disappointed but nonetheless I had fun cheering most of the time and I was like very loud and that's where the passion comes.

FINAL SCORE: Adamson 60-61 UST

Although it was a painful loss at the end, really, it was a great game, end-to-end action but I must say, it was a valiant effort for our team despite the uncharacteristic record they have right now at 1-6 where most of their losses where held in tight contests like this one. It didn't reflect the last season's record where they finished 3rd because we were having a complete line-up. I'd say that the Adamson team we have right now is a rebuilding squad because of the huge losses in terms of roles of the key players use to do in the previous time but I know how rebuilding goes and I must support in the coming years and go back to the time of 1952 where Adamson have their first and only UAAP Basketball Championship with the leadership of the "Director" himself and one of the 25 Greatest Players to play in the PBA, Hector Calma, one of the most prolific alumni of Adamson University.

Again, I had fun that day and I just wish I can go to another live game and share the passion again with my fellow hoops fans.

My Best Albums of 2011

Time: 11:40 p.m.
Where: In the study table.
Now Playing: "Don't Stop (Color on the Walls)" by Foster the People.

---

The 2011 music industry has some great highlights either in mainstream or the underground scene but nonetheless, here are the albums that I found interesting this year:

---

"Angles" by The Strokes.

After a five-year hiatus, which Julian Casablancas had his solo album at that duration, The Strokes are back with "Angles". I found the album pretty much the same with the previous 2 albums yet it has a twist. I found "Under Cover of Darkness" a great track to listen to and so as "Machu Picchu" and "Taken for a Fool".

---

"The King is Dead" by The Decemberists.

A nice way to start the year with a new album from the indie folk band The Decemberists. After decades of making music, I found this new album not as good as the previous ones yet I think that the songs in the album are underrated and worth to listen to. "Down by the Water" is one of my favorite tracks from the said album.

---

"Torches" by Foster the People.

I've heard of Foster the People in early 2010 since they released their EP and "Pumped Up Kicks" is one hell of a track. I was just eventually shocked when this song hit the mainstream and the band itself. I just remember MGMT's days with "Oracular Spectacular" on how the listeners love their songs. 10 tracks of single-worthy, catchy, and psychedelic music. Other songs like "Waste", "Warrant", "Call Me Want You Want" and "Helena Beat" did give some bats and made me dance randomly. Yeah, first album to be remembered.

---

"Zonoscope by Cut Copy.

---

This is one of my most anticipated albums. Whenever there's a Cut Copy release, I've always come to hear it as early as I can and the album turned out to be great. Reminds me of Kraftwerk and The Cure in one album. "Take Me Over", "Need You Now", "Where I'm Going" and "Blink and You'll Miss a Revolution" are my personal favorites to the album with also has the most interesting and creative album art but I still think that their 2008 album, "In Ghost Colours", is still their best album.

---

"21" by Adele.

---

This album is definitely a stronger attempt than Adele's debut album, "19". More feeling, soulful, and emotions. "Rolling in the Deep" is just one hell of a song. Catchy yet I can feel the song within the lyrics. "Chasing Pavements" from "19" is good and with soul, it's such that "21" has more vocal power to emphasize emotion. "Set Fire to the Rain", "Someone Like You" and "Rumour Has It" are the tracks that catches my attention and they are great songs to listen. As Adele puts her age in her albums, I feel that the more she matures along with her musicality and composition. A very strong contender for Album of the Year. No doubt.

---

"The King of Limbs" by Radiohead.

---

Well, when I first heard the 8-track album, "The King of Limbs" by one of the most influential alternative rock acts Radiohead, I was expecting much more from this probably because Thom Yorke and the gang had problems with making the album but the tracks like "Lotus Flower", "Little by Little" and "Bloom" are totally eargasmic and unique just like 1997 all-over again. I'd say, although with the end track "Separator", I knew that there will be more to come to Radiohead to somehow stick this album to a whole new one. They are not done yet folks!

---

"Bon Iver, Bon Iver" by Bon Iver.

---

Well, Justin Vernon has one of the soothing voices I've ever heard and he and the rest of Bon Iver continued with their critical success with this new album. Not only critical success but commercial success as well with the album garnering 2nd in the Billboard 200 during its release week last June. The one of the critically-acclaimed songs of the year, "Holocene" is really an amazing track, no wonder it was praised by music critics like Pitchfork, NME, and more. Other tracks like "Perth", "Calgary", and "Hinnom, TX", which obviously are places (some are fictional) yet catches me away and felt like I've been into that place, fantasy or reality. The album was nominated to the Best Alternative Music Album of the 54th Grammys in February next year and Bon Iver have 3 other nods like Best New Artist and Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Holocene". Good luck next year, Justin.

---

"Thank You, Happy Birthday" by Cage the Elephant.

---

After the success of their first and self-titled album, including my favorite track in the album, "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked", Matt Shultz and the rest of Cage the Elephant are back, welcoming 2011 with a blockbuster album, "Thank You, Happy Birthday". The band became serious now in making great music this time and with this 12-track album of pure awesomeness, includes "Shake Me Down", "Around My Head" and "Aberdeen", I would say they can be a serious contender to the category this year IMO, yet the album is a bit underrated. Like Bon Iver's latest album, the album has peaked into the no. 2 slot in the Billboard 200 this year just only behind "The King is Dead" by indie folk band The Decemberists.

---

"Hurry Up, We're Dreaming" by M83.

---

Anthony Gonzalez continues to amaze me with his previous works and now with M83's new release, "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming", my head goes banging to every beat of each of the two CDs and like I was in a different universe, CD after CD. The combination of electronica with some lo-fi with some dream pop tracks with a little saxophone in some tracks is really something. "Midnight City", "Steve McQueen", "OK Pal", "Claudia Lewis" and "Reunion", just too many tracks to love from this epic album. I would be thrilling to say that this is one of the best albums I heard this year and probably, in my whole life. Just epic.

---

"Wounded Rhymes" by Lykke Li.

---

Lykke Zachrisson a.k.a. Lykke Li once again proved that she's one to look out for this year of music. When I first heard her first single for "Wounded Rhymes" entitled "Get Some" late last year on radio, I like the upbeats yet the lyric of the said song made me think like she's singing this song to me with humility yet I don't 'get some' issues with it because of the composition. "I Follow Rivers" was somehow caught my attention like when I first heard "Little Bit" in her first album, "Youth Novels". Surprised that Glee covered this song and "Love Out of Lust" was just amazing. Kind of a dreamy-erotic themed album yet again from Lykke Li but music-wise, great.

Merry Christmas! (2011 version)

Time: 2:38 a.m.
Where: In the study table.
Now Playing: "Diet Mtn Dew" by Lana Del Rey.

---

First of all! Merry Christmas to all of us! Maligayang Pasko sa ating lahat! Well, it's a great 12 hours for me since the afternoon of Christmas' Eve up to now, almost dawn of Christmas Day. At the start of Christmas week, I really didn't feel the Christmas fever although there were kids flocking around every block, Christmas caroling and Christmas lantern to be seen in every street. Maybe I was just missing on something that this year never had. Hmmmmm...

Anyway, as every year, I always go to this Christmas event called "Christmas Kantata/Cantata" where all of the choirs from different parishes showcased their Christmas songs to the audience and it was relaly not a contest or anything. Just pure showcase. All of them were great and somehow gave me a feel that Christmas was really around. After that, went to my last of the nine masses (Christmas Novena mass or Misa de Gallo/Simbang Gabi)and the last one was really great. I mean by great, it was planned really. At first, the lights were off and I can feel the atmosphere inside the church. People singing until the lights went on again and I saw the 'Baby Jesus' and family replica and the ange,l floating and descending to what we call 'sabsaban'. Probably, it was rare to be in a mass that made it so special with props and everything to feel that it's Jesus' birthday.

After that, went home for 'Noche Buena' or Christmas Eve feast (A version of Thanksgiving but Christmas-realted. LOL) and pray for the blessings and for the victims of Tropical Storm Sendong/Washi, and may they have hope after that traumatic moment. It seemed awkward though here. Instead of hearing Christmas songs around, I heard loud horns everywhere but yeah, 2012 is coming. So I think that I could buy some of that horn! Feeling like I am in Rizal Memorial Stadium with those loud high-pitched horn! :D Cheers with some Tanduay Ice and again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Time: 8:04 p.m.
Where: In the study table.
Now Playing: "Money" by The Drums.

---

I am not imitating Adele though because of her albums entitled with her age on it when she made that certain album for the likes of "19" and the recent success of her album, "21", again, which was her age when she recorded that album. I am a fan of her music though but it's totally off-topic to this blog entry. The title is my current age right now and I suddenly felt like I am getting older now. I mean, the more you age, the more you have responsibility in your life that eventually, you'll get a job, you'll help your aging parents to give back to them, love life, having your own family. Wait. I am to fast forward. Probably, I am one of the persons that is totally scared of responsibilities and stuff. It's like... I feel... like a kid. Haven't matured a bit. I know... I tried but I think that just one year away at 20 and I won't be a teenager anymore that cements that I can't goof around no more.

But I know that is life, problems will come and you'll try to figure it out for yourself or with a little helping hand. Also, decision making is a must now. I am also scared to fail in making crucial decisions sometimes probably because I am too independent. Probably, I shouldn't think these for a moment though and it'll just cause me too much pressure for a little bitchin' in life and celebrate my simple yet special day today.

While I was busy surfing today, thanks to the SAMistas and to my ultimate crush, Sam Pinto for making me a birthday fansign this year. Truly made my day. For their treat this year, they served me a simple yet scrumptious black forest cake with pansit and lomi. Yeah, I just want a simple celebration and nothing fancy like the others have these days with karaoke and drinking pee-like beer. Just me and my family. :) LOL, didn't drag my friends to come to my place. Hahaha! Tomorrow, we'll watch "Praybeyt Benjamin", featuring Vice Ganda, as their treat for me. He/She... yes, he is just one of my favorite comedy acts here in the country. That's why last year, they surprised me to watch "Petrang Kabayo". I think it was shown late October last year as well, just five days before my actual birthday if I recall. Sam Pinto was also in the film as well that made the movie perfectly bonus, with comedy and some fatal attraction with my ultimate crush. LOL.

I guess that's my special day for today. I just hope that come next year, when I am 20, I will have a different mindset, different mentality and just go with the 'good flow'.

Time: 9:54 p.m.
Where: In the living room.
Now Playing: "Waste" by Foster the People.

This is the first I felt so euphoric. So happy when I saw Alodia Gosiengfiao and her sister, Ashley Gosiengfiao very close, in the flesh when they were about to get out of the mall. They were like twins when they were side-to-side in. But first, lemme tell the rest of what happened, starting from the top. We waited to SM Muntinlupa with my friend, for two hours in order to see them in the flesh. So, my long time friend, Cedric, did some soundtripping while playing our favorite pastime, playing Pokemon. I just remember that one of them used to play Pokemon and that's Alodia. LOL.

After two hours of wait, we got to see Alodia and Ashley performed one of their best sessions. They performed one of my favorite songs from my favorite British pop punk band The Ting Tings' "Shut Up and Let Me Go". Ashley sang this song. Not familiar with what Alodia sang earlier but I am sure it was Japanese. Lastly, they performed "Super Bass" originally sung by Nicki Minaj with Ester Dean on the rapping part. I saw their video creating the cover which was good and seeing it live was paid-off, they were good in performing live. Bad start yet, bumawi sila. :)

Here's how my me and my friend captured the performed song. Low quality on the video, long story on how my friend captured it pero the sound quality was quite good.

Now the main focus was on the fashion show for the FASHION AVENUE clothing line and I saw some stunning designs of the clothes that was sorted into different places of the world such as Paris, New York and more. I was still looking on Alodia because she was stunningly beautiful at that night, no portrayals whatsoever, just pure her. I mean, she didn't portray an anime character like the famous Haruhi Suzumiya, one of my personal favorites, but tonight, she was being herself. Ashley was also elegant with her tops and black boots, if I am not mistaken.

After the fashion event, all people were on a ruckus. Just piling and following the two into the new store. Everyone was all going bananas at that point, including me, as a huge fan of both of them. Screaming, bribing those security guards just to let us in. Parang nasampahan kami ng Temporary Restraining Order kanina. Yes, I have scoliosis but I fight to the guards just to have some decent position and somehow to let us in after being bumped and crushed a lot, yes, not good for my health but I kept it clean just to see those human living dolls. Some got lucky because they saw both of them early because they bought some clothes with receipts and they need receipts just to see, meet and greet the Gosiengfiao sisters. If I only knew that buying their products and showing the receipt will make us get pass and get some personalized autographs, sweet greets and some bragging rights. I was so close of buying one of their tees but when one man said, this was the last batch. I was very very disappointed with the organizers. Seriously. I can't blame the guards that were pushing tremendously so hard but with picking only few to barge in to them and more of us got unlucky. Didn't get my dream to somehow have both Alodia and Ashley some autographs, pictures and greets with them. I know, it's such a shame but we got some things to do before they left, we acted like a paparazzi chasing famous stars on the way home. Not exactly all the way to Capitol Hills, but just outside the mall.

I am sure Ashley and Alodia remembered me because I was the guy with the bonnet. I was "moonwalking in front of the two gals". I was wearing a red shirt, a Manchester United kit to be exact, because I am huge fan of the football club, with an "Aon" in front because that's the club's shirt sponsor so I know they would recognize me. Headgears sure are getting the attention, sometimes. This is the proof but I did a stupid move that I can be sure for being disappointed and I cried about this back home. It was like a very suicidal reaction and expression I had. I accidentally deleted Alodia retweeted. She retweeted my tweet and I just deleted it accidentally. Not intentional because I want a retweet really badly when I got home. I was thinking of that. When I go home, I will send Alodia some tweets and she retweeted and then, I was gonna select the "favorite" button and then, there goes, "deleted". I was screaming on the house and getting crazy. That's how crazy I was this day. I kept tweeting Alodia and she didn't respond, probably I spammed a lot for the greediness on getting that retweet once again. I failed. Too much regret talaga. ;(

From having a euphoria from the start of the day, ended with a big regret. September 25, 2009, one of the worst days of my life because of Typhoon Ondoy/Ketsana, September 25, 2010 was one of the greatest days of my life when a huge family buffet and some fun time along. September 25, 2011, one of the best and one of the worst days of my life. Mixed emotions. You can tell by reading this blog again on how my day went through. Good night and I hope I can sleep and move on with this. Being a fanboy of my crushes sometimes kills with too much obsession, like this. Obsession kills. I can be a fan pero with limitations dapat, wag lubos lubos because in the end, you will have a great depression when you didn't get what you want. Chances are pero not this time. :) Time to move on.

"Papa" + "150": Be inspired by Rizal and our dads.

Time: 3:25 a.m.

"Papa"

Today is the 19th of June. Six billion people knows that this day is Father's Day, where this day is especially made for our dads, because they are an inspiration to their children, including me. For their dedication on work or whatever they do best in order to give their family members whatever they need. They fill what's missing and I'd say, I can borrow the phrase "Moms know best" and changed it to "Dads knows best... too!" Not only moms. Actually, "Parents know best". Both of them. Some times, there are misunderstandings in our family, that may lead to a broken family if there is no communication between the members, I'll still try to make it up to them.

Anyway, my dad is still sleeping and I am a usual vampire but yesterday, he made us "Sinigang" and it was delicious. He is like the cook of the house, but yeah, my mom kept saying every time that she is the best cook in this house. LOL. That was just naturally what she's saying pero alam niya na gusto niya talaga luto ng Papa ko. My characteristics of my father? He's a joker, magaling sa mga banat. Well, I always see my father's humor in reunions and slightly in home. He can be serious at some times, but that serious as in, in vital situations, when he helps the three of us in our need. Minsan naawa din ako sa Papa ko kasi he's like a "Houseband" kahit nagtratrabaho siya but I do lend him a hand in daily chores pero siya sa mega weekend chores. Hindi kasi siya sanay na may tumutulong sa kanya even if we insist na tulungan siya. He always kept saying na "Magpahinga lang kayo, ako nang bahala". Even at his mid life, he's still doing the tough laundry, fixing eletronic appliances and stuff. Nakuha ko sa kanya ang pagiging sporty, I mean not physically, but being a huge sports fan. We both love basketball, PBA siya, NBA ako pero we're both Lakers and Gin Kings fans pero pag sa ibang games na hindi involve ang fave teams namin, I oppose what Papa supports. LOL. I am a huge fan of football a long time ago, Manchester United is the club to be exact (Take that Liverpool, City) pero it seems my dad likes it too since he saw the Azkals in action. Football was not that popular here when he saw the Azkals.

So, I am not that type of person who expresses affection in any place, especially here in the Internet world but I know he knows that we love my Papa and Papa love us. Again, Papa, thanks to all and Happy Father's Day.

"150"

We see Jose Protacio Rizal in monuments, parks, textbooks and in the Internet. We are all familiar on his story, on what he did for our country. Because of his heart-wrenching words in his novels, poems and other forms of literature, he fought the Spaniards and after that, led to "The Revolution". Yes, we know all of that but after almost two centuries, did our country change? I mean in the aspects of economy, system and stuff. Why did I even ask this question? Because of Rizal's dedication to protect the Filipinos, also because of his mind, his words and his actions. "Sa isip, sa salita at sa gawa", ito ang dapat nating gawin. Rizal serves as an inspiration for a long, long time and we must not answer that we know Rizal that he is the guy in Luneta Park, the guy in the textbooks or the guy in school paintings, we must be proud that we are Filipinos. For me for example, I can be proud that I am a Filipino by buying Filipino-made products, supporting our local movie industry, following the rules, regulations and laws of the country and doing some good deeds, either small or big.

If Rizal fought for our country by doing those vital things step-by-step and sacrificed his life in order for the people to think that we can step out of the shadow and move as a nation. That Rizal blood in us is why we have this People Power, in 1986, and soon followed by other countries like South Korea, Tunisia, and recently, Egypt. We, Filipinos, are very expressive to issues and we fight for the right to freedom. That's why we are passionate because of Rizal. Today is his 150th birth anniversary. So make it special, do something good to help our country. Rizal might be happy. If Rizal lives at his 30's at this generation, we might witness a cruel world that he can change.

Maligayang Kaarawan, Rizal! ¡Feliz cumpleaños! Rizal!

What a day, not in my life, as in experience, I meant in my Internet life. Well, I usually been in forums in the world of Internet, in certain discussions and you will face argumentative talks and heated discussions and stuff and I am always been sort of bullied by many and I can stand my proposition but there's a saying, "two or more is better than one and that's how it goes. Probably, I should quit visiting forums from now on or probably scout it and not doing the posting from now on.

Yes, hindi maiiwasan but yeah, it's the Internet, the people you don't know saying harsh words and you can't say anything bad back because you are supposed to. Come on, bakit pa papatulan ang immature na taon kung sino man siya. Of course, sabihin nyo na Internet lang yan pero masakit pero pinipilit ko na lang na iwasan at eventually, I will know na tatagal din yan. Natural din yan at makakamove-on din ako. Kahit din naman sa Facebook 'di ba? Guys, when you encounter a friend in a status of misunderestanding, nagiging galit sa isa't isa, doing flaming, spamming at walang patid na parinigan. Kahit nung elementary at high school ako, bullying is still there. They just mocks my physical appaerance, my disabilities and I remember when I watched Glee prior or in the pre-Superbowl 2011 I learned that they are just doing those talking and teasing because they are "cowards". They don't want to be called as "sissy", "gay", "bucktooth", "nerd", "dork" and all of these mockery words.

Oh well. Not being too exaggerative pero this is how I feel about them. Spare them from bullying people mapa-Internet man o kahit sa school, or kahit saan. Buti nandyan si President Obama who stands against bullying.

Maraming taong nagpapakamatay gawa ng bullying but I am not gonna do that of course, who's dumb person would fall for that but it hurts somehow every time you think of it. Mapapagigil ka but oh well, gotta move on and continue to surf online but this time, stay away from those uneducated trolls. I created forum accounts in the first place in order to share interests, similarities and stuff but I think this will change. Goodbye, forum sites and hello, moving on.

Well, I don't why pictures of good looking women always catching my attention. It's like when you see them, Cupid is near you and practice target-shooting using his bow and arrows. So, it's "Love Month" all-over again and as usual, I am single, probably because I am shy of girls or I don't know, just not used to hang with them, lack of interest similarities, that's why I think. That's why I am stuck at being single and that's why I have thirst of "girls" all of a sudden. I mean, you know, meeting one, especially if she's gorgeous. Well, I have cited some extraordinary women lately and yeah, you know the feeling of you wanna be one of "their" friends and you wish that you were born to know them or reincarnate into the person that used to be one of their best friends to actually know their interest and probably end up as her boyfriend "for life"? I am always imagining it. For real. Having my fantasies with them. Oh darn.

Anyway, I have a list of "these" people. Probably my Top 5 women that I want to be friends with probably not only by their good looks, but also we had some similarities, in music for instance or probably, I have this "love at first sight" thing.

5. Kim Yu-Na

-Well, she's cute and it all started when I was watching the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010 and yeah, I heard much of her in 2009 but never saw her until that day where she skated the whole routine with majesty and beauty. It's like "whoa", this girl has something. Well, I am not condemning Koreans probably because I hate their Korean Pop music, but I think the women are mostly good-looking.

4. Taylor Swift

-Hmmm... I maybe not be a fan of country music but I do like her good looks and we are both bloggers. I admire her blogging style and I am considering her a popular person due to her music like the most of us do. She likes to reach to her fans by expressing herself through her songs (that are quite controversial due to her previous relationships that makes me jealous all the time) and also to her blogs, some video blogs are quite addictive to watch probably because she has videos that she mostly don't do in public like running, playing basketball and more. That's why I am one of her followers, not on her music (Well, I am trying to be), but followers of her blogs. Plus, she covered one of my favorite Coldplay's songs, "Viva La Vida" probably because she is a huge Coldplay fan and yeah, an influence, one of her influences.

3. Anne Curtis/Rhian Ramos/Gretchen Fullido

-A triple tie. Can't decide whose greater or vice-versa so I decided to rank them into a single position that will make them equal to each other and yes, different personalities. First, to Anne, probably I love her fashion statement daily and yeah, every clothes that she wear always used to trend everybody and good for her. We used to have the same taste in music. I mean, she likes independent music especially, electropop, synthpop, I'll just sum up that she likes Alternative music like I do. There. She's so ecstaticly beautiful. A single tweet of her will make me happy but so far, none. Probably, she has many followers on Twitter, the most followed Filipino user I think. Rhian, hmmm... she does look alike Taylor if she puts a blonde wig and some blue contact lenses. There. She's also cute and yeah, attractive. Gretchen, hmmm.... she's beautiful but not that as I call "sexy" but "busty" and we both like sports. It's rare to see a woman who is actually into sports. Basketball, Football, everything. She even tweeted me that she loves Cristiano Ronaldo, it's like what? Ronaldo's abs? Hahaha.

2. Victoria Justice

-She's my recent "love at first sight" person, whatever. She's at my same age group, cute, and yeah, she's so hot and good at singing. I just wish that she, you know, tweeted me. How ironic, if I want to meet that girl, I just wish to request a tweet, because it's impossible. She's half-Latina and one of my types probably she's half-Latina and everything. She's stunning and likes Coldplay. Why do I kept emphasizing on Coldplay anyway? It's not music talk here. LOL.

1. Sam Pinto

-Long time follower of her since her Pinoy Big Brother days. Damn, long story about her. I like reality shows because this is my "search engine" for gorgeous women, like PBB for instance and I found Cathy Remperas and her as my bets because they were stunning. After that, I started to follow her. Stalk her and even my sister and my friends know that I am so addicted to this lady. I don't know if Sam have some "agimat" or "gayuma" on every men that's why tons of opportunities she had. Commercials, movies, acting programs, guest appearances and stuff. She was like rise on the top, out of nowhere. I am always super happy when we tweet each other last year and the last tweet I received from her as of now was on my birthday and I was so darn happy about it. She even made a fansign for me. Oh darn, how I loved it. I just wish that we meet each other and probably become friends. I envy some her friends that i wish I could be one of them, as regular friends.

Mathematically, no but, when it comes in time and space, it is sort of computable. Making this a figure of speech for nothing. Pretty self-explanatory on that said made-up formula, making myself horrendous. Anyway, today is my 18th birthday and I must admit, I am NOT that mature when it comes to responsibilities inside and outside our household but I am getting there to be a responsible guy at all task and I am trying to be a social companion and socially healthy as well. You see, I am a type of person who is an anti-socialite, it's not that I am "the loner", it's such that, I don't feel to talk to people because we lack of similarities that's all and I want to change that, I wanted my friends to see that I am trying to know them and not the loser kid of yesterday (during high school days where I used to get yanked and bullied by other people bigger than me and screwed me up). I was totally a high-tempered person at that time because they used to tease me things that they see in me physically, which is a horrendous things to do. I wanted to change that as well, the old hot-headed Ralph, will be the patient and more confident Ralph of tomorrow, Hopefully.

Another wish for my birthday is for my family. I hope that my mother will find a way to surpass our problem. You see, I am currently in hiatus right now but I am still learning, thank you, Internet and my mom let my sister to finish college so that she can get a job and then let me go back in shape. In addition, I have scoliosis, I used to suffer something and I can't breathe normally because my right lung can't gather more air in exchange and my left is doing all the work and some back aches, that's why I am in hiatus from hard wok learning. It's sad and painful to know it last year after three terms in Mapua, one of my dream schools to enter. I just wish that my mother will be okay at all times because she's always tired at work and I understand her, a lot. Everyday, I am always thinking of things like (Did my mother already eat? Is she home already?) Questions of concern in her part. On my sister, that I hope she surpasses every single task, one at the time, grabe, kasi, sa bahay, yes, lagi ko siyang parang inaasar and she used to pummel me and parang hindi serious on her side everything she says in every experience in Letran, parang hindi interesado parang wala lang, (that's my alter ego, being a crazy dude), pero inside, I am concerned too as well kasi lagi siyang puyat, hindi na nakakauwi at laging maginagawa, halos walang pahinga. That's why I helped some of her work (I am such a good brother). And sa dad ko, Dad please, sana maibalik mo ang dati Papa na nakilala ko. Too complicated to tell and I don't want to broaden up some details. That's my wish for my beloved family. To my other one's na sana lagi silang safe.

Did some wishes for myself, my friends and my loved ones. Now to my extraordinary wishes (Sana matupad balang araw before I die, I am still compiling this every year I celebrate my day).

- Sana I obtain a Manchester United Home Kit.
- I wish I have a PS3 or XBOX 360 right now falling from the sky.
- Hopefully to meet every single "ultimate crushes" I had (Celebrity ones, not from my high school days, I will not enumerate them all, ang dami but I would like to mention this girl).
-And lastly, an operation to be cured on my Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis.

I guess that is all for now, my day is like any other day this year, like last year's, where I used to be a busy boy in all task in Mapua during that day with my Diagnostic test, I still remember that day. Well, I just wish again, to have more birthdays to come to experience life even more. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Oasis songs to enjoy. Good day to all and thanks for the greetings, Appreciated it.

My Hunger for Learning.

Well, it's been 10 months now of useless vacation for me since I chose to rest my body from hardwork learning in Mapua for 6 months straight and it was a sign that I was making myself late for the others and it was hard to lose grip on something I need. It's like a race to the finish where I need to cross the white line and it will be mission accomplished but my current stature, physically, mentally and probably socially are not enough to beat those other guys and got the upper hand advantage wise.

I felt like a jerk because I have this Scoliosis and dealing it for years and years and if you ask me, if you have this, it's hard to deal life. Seriously. You can't breathe properly at one time and have low condition of you're running or if your are lifting something that heavy. That's where I suffered during my first months as a college student back then.

Again, I felt like a jerk why I pushed my limitations and go to the school that can cause me too much pressure, health-wise and mental wise. A sheer embarrassment on my side to be here loafing around while I am seeing some of my friends' statuses on Facebook about their goals, heartbreaks in learning and success it it (e.g., Ang galing ko, naiapasa ko ang MATH23 ngayon pero sure fail ako sa PHY15 nito bukas kasi hindi ako nagreview). Like that. I am so envious to them and the feeling of achievement is BIG in sight.

In 10 months, I am trying to still learn. Reading some of my books on Plane and Spherical Trigonometry, Solid Mensuration and more. Also, I am learning online, some random quizzes in random college courses. Trying to exercise my brain and not to be a loser to myself because I was inspired on that blog I saw last week about a graduating student this year, and he's not just a graduating one, a Suma Cum Laude one. I read his graduating speech and said that he was one of the victims of procrastination of his high school and early college days where he used to fail. He wasn't at that point, a serious student and then he pursued harder that he deserve and now, he's at the top. A proof that education is for everyone and failing is just a natural instinct to every student. We can rise up again from the grave.

there will come a day for next year, after my sister graduated, then, it's my turn to come back. I will be back in Manila but I am NOT sure if in Intramuros Walls again or in other district. We'll see. The return is near upon me.
